Clinical Supervision
We offer clinical supervision for Master’s level counselors seeking licensure in Georgia. Supervision is an interactive process designed to help therapists improve their clinical skills and to continue their professional growth. Supervision is provided individually or within a group.
The table below highlights the Georgia licensure requirements for the Licensed Professional Counselor. Prior to beginning the supervision process, an interview is required to determine if our agency is a right fit for you. Internship Opportunities
Internship interviews are conducted in an individual format and are facilitated by the Clinical Director and other agency supervisors.
McDaniel Consulting & Counseling, Inc. is a highly desired and competitive internship placement site. In order to provide ample opportunity for supervision and clinical experience, interns are limited to no more than 3 in an academic year. While some previous clinical experience is desirable, it is not required. Internship interviews are conducted in an individual format and are facilitated by the Clinical Director and other agency supervisors.
Final selections of interns are made by assessing and evaluating the capabilities and interests of each of the candidates and by matching those with the needs and culture of the agency.
McDaniel Consulting & Counseling, Inc. strives to assist each intern with acquiring a balance of learning opportunity and professional growth. Students are assigned clinical work with the oversight of their administrative and clinical supervisors.
Type and amount of clinical work is determined by intern readiness, competency, and use of supervision. Most interns will begin with individual therapy and group work, and add couples and families at a later point in their internship, if interested.
Interns must complete a required background check prior to starting.
