Dr. Anne L. McDaniel, LPC, NCC, CCFC, BC-TMHP, CIT

Forensic Psychotherapist

Dr. McDaniel is a Licensed Professional and National Certified Counselor.  She holds a Masters in Professional Counseling and Forensic Psychology and a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology and a post doctorate in Forensic Psychology  from Argosy University.

With over 20 years of experience, Dr. McDaniel works with adults, couples and families in an outpatient treatment setting.  She uses an integrative approach in therapy, drawing on theoretical approaches of cognitive-behavior therapy, family systems, client-centered and solution focused perspectives.

Dr. McDaniel enjoys building relationships with people that leads to positive change in their lives. She has worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, divorce recovery, stress, grief, work conflict, relationship/marital conflict and other life transitions that create suffering in a person’s life. In addition to therapy approaches, Dr. McDaniel provides various forensic evaluations for individuals requesting psychological assessments. 

Dr. McDaniel believes that each session should be tailored around each person’s own journey to healing and her goal is to serve as a facilitator that makes that journey easier. She enjoys the creative approach to therapy that empowers her clients to wholeness and fulfillment.

 Dr. Candace Stafford
Clinical Director

 

Dr. Stafford is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University in Texas and Wright State University School of Professional Psychology in Ohio. She has been a clinical psychologist for over 25 years and is licensed to practice in Texas and Georgia.

 

Instruction has included work as adjunct professor and dissertation committee member at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP) and as a Corporate Trainer in the areas of leadership and diversity including publishing in TX Police Chief and TX Police Journal. She is the founder of Coastal African American Behavioral Health Professionals (CAABHP), a service and support network serving the African American community in the greater Savannah area.

 

Her clinical practice has spanned from geriatric care in long term care facilities to federal positions within the VA and the U.S. military. She provides psychological testing and evaluations as Clinical Director of McDaniel’s Consulting and Psychological Services.

Dr. Chiquetta Thompson
Intern Supervisor

Dr. Chiquetta O. Thompson is a retired certified professional School Social Worker serving 30 years with the Savannah Chatham County Public School.

 

She currently holds the position of Director of Youth Education Programs at the Mediation Center of Coastal Empire. She is a Georgia registered civil, and juvenile mediator who develops and conducts conflict resolution training and peer-mediation training for children and youth.

 

She is the self-published author of I like Peanuts…but Peanuts Don’t Like Me and My Pineapple Eyes two beautifully illustrated children’s books with practical lessons teaching children how to manage food allergies.

For the past 30 years, Dr. Janice Munn has been blessed with the opportunity to weave her educational training with her personal and work experiences to educate, inspire and elevate others of all ages.

Through the years she has served as an adjunct professor in the Department of Social Sciences with the University of Phoenix. She has also worked as a therapist with Parent and Child of Union Mission, Inc. of Savannah, where she assisted youth, adolescents, and adults with anger management counseling and domestic violence awareness training.

She is currently employed as a Professional School Counselor with Savannah Chatham County School System.

 

Dr. Munn earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a Master of Education Degree in Counselor Education, a Doctor of Education Degree in Counseling Psychology. 

Mr. Douglas Lapsley, M.A.
Mental Health Provider

 

Douglas Lapsley is a native of Columbus, Mississippi. He grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and joined the army after graduation. A well-decorated veteran, Douglas completed multiple tours of duty to 4 different countries.

Douglas brings an Erikson and Piaget perspective to his work with children and youth in Crisis and is passionate about being an advocate of change for his community. He will work with young

men to help them excel and achieve

at their highest potential. He is also passionate about his work with couples

as he helps them explore thought

process that lead to positive changes in their relationship and marriage.

Alneata C. Kemp

Mental Health Provider

Aleata is an action-oriented visionary who uses effective communication and sound strategy development as conduits for goal attainment. Conducting comprehensive needs assessments, she can gather and analyze data and leverage available resources to meet the diverse needs of vulnerable communities.

 

An ardent supporter of historically underrepresented and underserved populations, her zeal for such work was accelerated after the tragic loss of her daughter, Courtney Kemp. Alneata founded Socks For Courtney, a nonprofit organization started in memory of her daughter. She is instrumental in the start-up of grief support groups that provides support to children/families.

 

A storyteller in her own right, Alneata has authored three children’s books and contributed to two published books focused on grief and recovery.
